Marina Policies - 2024

Clipper Marina is committed to the safety of our guests, the preservation of the natural environment, and the promotion of community and recreation for our slip holders. In furtherance of these commitments, please become familiar with and adhere to these policies.

Registration and Documentation:

  • Maintain current vessel state registration and invasive species permits.

  • Update contact information with Clipper Marina annually or as needed.


Vessel Condition

  • Boats must be in good working condition with no leaks, hazards or pollutants..

Insurance and Release

  • Slip holder is required to provide an annual certificate of insurance for a minimum of $300,000 in watercraft liability coverage, listing RPMC, LLC as an “Additional Insured”.

  • Slip holder must evaluate that the condition and adequacy of assigned moorage is sufficient, and is encouraged to maintain hull/comprehensive insurance to mitigate unforeseen loss.

  • Slip holder agrees to release and discharge RPMC from any and all responsibility or liability for injury or death, loss or damage to persons or property occurring on marina property. This release and discharge shall cover without limitation any loss or damage resulting from vandalism, theft, fire, collision and any act of God such as rain, ice, hail, high/low water and wind.

Safety:

  • Observe no-wake zones, noise restrictions and speed limits in Cavanaugh Bay.

  • Keep docks, walkways and common areas clear.

  • Ensure that children under 10 are wearing a lifejacket or are accompanied by an adult when on docks or watercraft..

  • Bicycles, one-wheels, skateboards, etc., are not permitted on docks.

  • Smoking is not permitted on the marina docks or grounds.

  • Follow designated pathways and respect restricted areas.

Quiet Hours:

  • Respect quiet hours [10PM - 8AM] to minimize disturbance to others.


Waste Disposal:

  • Properly dispose of trash and waste in designated areas.


Pet Policies:

  • Pets are permitted on site. Owners must keep them on a leash and clean up after them.

Slipholders’ Mooring Responsibility:

  • Use appropriate lines and fenders to secure vessels.

  • Do not tie to other vessels without permission.

  • Ensure that a vessel is adequately secured to prevent damage to the vessel, other vessels, docks, moorings, and slipcovers.


Emergency Procedures:

  • Familiarize yourself with marina emergency procedures and the location of safety equipment.


Parking:

  • Park in a manner respectful to best utilization of the parking area.  

  • Limit parking to one vehicle per slip during peak times, such as weekends and holidays.

  • Overnight parking is reserved for onsite or underway slip holders.

  • Multi-day and seasonal trailer parking is available by reservation only.


Slip Assignment:

  • Marina management reserves the right to (re)assign slips within the season to ensure safety or best utilization of Marina resources.

Commercial Activities:

  • Commercial activities are prohibited within the marina premises.

  • Subleasing or loaning of slips is prohibited without prior permission.


Lease Termination:

  • Breaking any policies may result in the termination of the moorage lease agreement.


Maintenance and Environmental Protection:

  • Follow guidelines to protect the environment, including restrictions on fueling.

  • Regularly maintain and inspect your vessel for safety and compliance.

  • Report abandoned vessels to marina management.

  • All powered watercraft must be equipped with factory mufflers, water exhaust system, or other means sufficient to meet Idaho State requirements and prevent excessive or intrusive noise.  

  • To mitigate erosion of shorelines and destruction of wildlife habitat, boats moored at Clipper Marina must agree to not wakesurf or carry ballast within Cavanaugh Bay.  


Conduct:

  • Slip holders and their guests should conduct themselves with consideration for and courtesy of other members and guests.  Slip holders are responsible for controlling their guests’ conduct and behavior.    


General:

  • To address Marina and slip holder needs, insurance, regulatory or legal requirements, these Rules and Regulations may be updated and communicated to slip holders at any time.
